MARCH 27-29
Spring Musical Performances, 7:00 PM
We wanted to reach out with some additional information on Inclement Weather Days. Each year we are permitted three Inclement Weather Days that do not need to be made up. We have currently used these three days (January 21 - Cold, February 18 - Cold, and March 5 - Snow). From this point forward we will have eLearning Days instead of snow days.
This will look a little different depending on the grade level your child is in. The information below provides a summary of the eLearning Day expectations.
Elementary School
All students will receive paper copies of work to be completed for eLearning Days. This information will be given to students in advance.
Middle & High School
Attendance - students should log into their Infinite Campus portal and submit their attendance for the day.
Academic Work - teachers will have work for the day and directions posted on each school’s respective LMS (Google Classroom for TMS, Schoology for THS) by 10:00 AM.
Teacher Support - teachers will also post online meetings and practices that can be used if student assistance is needed.
Thank you for your continued support and engagement. Please feel free to reach out with questions or concerns.

Our school is participating in a creative fundraiser with Art to Remember that allows you to purchase keepsake products customized with your child's art. There are over 60 products and many are less than $20. These make great gifts and a percentage of every purchase goes right back to our school. Click on the link below and enter the online order code shown on your child's order form or to search for your child's artwork. Then, have fun shopping!

The TMS Dodgeball Tournament has become a highly anticipated event each winter. Thank you to our TMS Parent TEAM for hosting this event! We had several teams participating and a ton of FUN! It came down to an 8th grade team versus the TMS staff. The staff won! Thank you to the staff, the students, and all the parents that participated and made this event a success!
The students reinforced their understanding of forces through a very engaging Egg Drop Project! They created a vessel to hold their egg, which they dropped from the second floor in the wood shop. It was great fun for all to see what eggs survived the impact!
Click here to learn about a middle school camp opportunity where students will explore career pathways in a fun, interactive, hands-on learning experience!

Tuesday, April 8, Pre-ACT, ACT, ASVAB, CPR Training
Saturday, April 12, Prom (details below)
Monday, April 14, 3 Hour Late (MCAs)
Tuesday, April 8, is a very busy day at Triton High School. Each year all high schools in the state of Minnesota are responsible for offering a college entrance examination. At Triton High School we will be offering the ACT or ASVAB. Because this testing experience requires extensive personnel, we need to adjust how this school day will look. We wanted to communicate in advance so families have time to plan and coordinate schedules. Please take a minute and read through the information below for your child’s respective grade.
Ninth Graders - College Visits
We are excited to provide an opportunity for our students to see two different college programs. On this day, ninth graders will tour and receive an admissions presentation at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and Western Technical College.
Students will also experience eating in a college cafeteria (no cost to students).
The bus will leave at 8:05 AM and will return by 3 PM. Students should not bring Chromebooks or any other valuables. Students should wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather as they will be outside for part of their tours. Triton staff will be attending the trip as chaperones.
Tenth Graders - Pre-ACT
Tenth graders will report to school as scheduled to take the Pre-ACT. This test is part of their state requirement for college and career readiness. Triton High School is paying for this test. Students are scheduled to finish the test around 11 AM. Students are excused from school when they finish their tests unless they have missing coursework. Students who are currently failing one or more classes should plan to stay and get caught up. Students going home after the testing will need to line up their own transportation. If students do not have a ride home, we have plans and space for them to stay in school. If students are going to stay in school, they should plan to eat lunch in the cafeteria and be in a teacher’s classroom for the afternoon. Students will not be permitted to leave school and come back.
Eleventh Graders - ACT or ASVAB
Eleventh graders will report to school to take the ACT or ASVAB. Testing should be finished by 12:30 PM (students testing with accommodations will likely finish closer to 1:30pm). Students failing classes or missing assignments should plan to stay in school. Students that are caught up are excused from school after testing. Eleventh graders will also need to arrange transportation. If students are going to stay in school, they should plan to eat lunch in the cafeteria and be in a teacher’s classroom for the afternoon. Students will not be permitted to leave school and come back.
Twelfth Graders - CPR Certification
The twelfth graders will be getting their CPR certification as part of their senior seminar course. This will take place in the multipurpose room. Seniors should enter and leave through the activities entrance. Seniors have received information on which session they should be attending. Students who are currently failing one or more classes should plan to stay and get caught up. Students who are caught up are excused after their CPR certification.
All students are expected to attend their designated activity to count for their day’s attendance. Students will have limited and supervised access to their lockers on this day and should, therefore, minimize what they bring to school with them.
Ticket Sales will be during lunch from March 24- April 3 in the HS cafeteria or come to the Community Ed Office. Triton Juniors and Seniors $50, Underclassmen and Non-Triton Students $60.
Guests must be in high school or under 21 years of age, all non-Triton students must also fill out a guest form and have their respective school principal sign it and it must be returned to the school by April 4. All non-Triton guests will need to bring a photo ID.
Grand March will take place at 3:30 PM in the East Gym. The gym will open at 3:00 PM. Admission for spectators at Grand March will be $5/Adult, $2/Student.
Dinner and Dance are at Somerby in Byron. Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from Somerby. Students must be at Somerby by 6 PM. The dance will go from 7-9 PM.
Mr. Lutterman and Mrs. Faber reviewed Prom expectations with students on Monday, March 10. A copy of that presentation is available here.
Questions about Prom should be addressed to Kristy Faber or Luke Lutterman.
kfaber@triton.k12.mn.us
llutterman@triton.k12.mn.us
Additional information will be communicated on post prom.
As we prepare for the MCA tests it is important to note that high school students can use qualifying scores for placement in concurrent courses, PSEO, and certain college courses without having to take an additional placement test. It is always appreciated when appointments are scheduled around Testing Dates.

On Monday, March 10, a number of our band and choir students participated in the Small Group Music Contest at Leroy-Ostrander High School. A special thank you to Ms. Deetz and Mr. Wotherspoon for making this experience possible for our students. They noted that "it takes a lot of practice time and hard work to prepare this music and perform for a judge." Congratulations to the award recipients!
The 2025 Business Professionals of America (BPA) State Leadership Conference was held March 6-8 and saw over 2,000 members compete from 80 chapters across the state, and the Triton High School chapter came away with a truly dominant performance. Triton crowned a historic and whopping 10 State Champions, including the first ever 2X State Champion, 14 National Trip Winners, and 14 Top 10 Finishers. Congratulations and thank you for representing Triton High School!

Student safety and well being will continue to be our number one priority. SpeakUp for Safety is a tipline for students and staff members to share their concerns about bullying, planned fights, students in crisis (suicide, self-harm, drug or alcohol abuse), school violence, and other safety concerns or urgent situations.
SpeakUp is safe and confidential and is available to staff and students 24/7.
