Early Childhood Screening is a quick and simple check of how your child is growing and learning. The screening includes a developmental assessment, vision and hearing tests, height and weight measurement and an immunization and health history review. The state of Minnesota recommends this at age 3 and requires screening before kindergarten entrance, and before, or within 90 days, of starting preschool.
The purpose of this free screening is to identify children who may need additional time and assistance to be ready for school. The sooner we get started, the more likely your child will begin school with the necessary skills to succeed.
Our next screening is on Friday, February 7th. Visit our website to sign up. Email mknutson@triton.k12.mn.us with questions or to set up an alternate time.
PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION COMING SOON
We have started planning preschool classes for next fall. Watch for our registration information soon! If you would like us to email you when information is available, please let Mindy Knutson know: mknutson@triton.k12.mn.us.
Information will also be posted on our website, Facebook, and in the Cobra Connections newsletter.
*Friendly reminder that all students need to have early childhood screening before, or within 90 days, of starting preschool. If your child will start pre-k in the fall, please consider signing up for our February screening date to meet this requirement!
January 20-No preschool
January 24-Teacher work day, no preschool
February 7-Early Childhood Screening
Our lost and found is filling up again! If you are missing any items please have your child check our table and coat rack. You can also call the TES office and we can go take a peak.
Even in the winter we try to get outside for recess as much as possible. Each day we check the weather and if it is above zero (wind chill) we will head outside. Please send your student(s) with appropriate winter gear. If you are in need of winter gear please reach out to the TES office.
TES continues to recognize our HERO award winners each Friday. Students are nominated throughout the week for being hard working, safe, responsible and/or respectful. On Friday morning we draw three names for those students to come down and collect a prize. It is a great way to begin our Fridays!

Yearbooks are on sale now. Buying a yearbook is an investment in memories you'll cherish in the future!
Students will be reviewing grades and any missing assignments this week in preparation for the end of the quarter on January 23rd. They will be creating academic S.M.A.R.T. goals during Homeroom to help them finish strong! There are two Wednesdays before the quarter ends and Homework Club may be a great option for your child if they need any additional help! See details below.
Weekly emails will be sent every Wednesday if your child has a missing assignment in Infinite Campus
Homework Club is on Wednesdays. It starts after school and ends at 4 PM. Your child will need to be picked up at that time
The Homework Link will show you what work the teacher has assigned in class during the week
THS Families and Community,
I hope everyone found some time for rest and relaxation over the holiday season. As we get back to the day-to-day routines at school, I wanted to take a minute to remind everyone that the end of the semester is rapidly approaching. We want to make sure families are informed and create a platform to partner with the school. It is always appreciated when families connect with their children and discuss what needs to be finished before the end of the semester. Any parents needing Infinite Campus grade book access are encouraged to contact the high school. Parents should also always feel free to reach out to any teachers and/or administrators as questions arise.
End of Semester Timelines
Thursday, January 23 - Last Day of Semester 1
Friday, January 24 (3:30 PM) - Semester one grades will be available in Infinite Campus
Monday, January 27 - Report cards mailed
Friday, February 7 - Incompletes must have a grade assigned
Students in current activities with a failing grade "F" at the semester will be ineligible to compete until Saturday, February 8. Students with an incomplete will be ineligible until Saturday, February 8, or until they receive a passing grade
Thank you for taking the time to read through this newsletter and for staying up to date with your child's educational journey.

We have received feedback from our community and families that they would like to see live streaming of events continue. We are excited to let you know that we view live streaming as an opportunity to connect our school community and that we also want to see this service continue.
Live-streamed games and activities have changed for this year. We will now be streaming through Hudl Fan and not YouTube. All Triton home events that are streamed can be accessed via the link HERE or by visiting www.triton.k12.mn.us and clicking on the Activities tab.
Thank you to the Triton Booster Club and our sponsors for making streaming a free service for our community and Cobra supporters.
Thank you for tuning in and for supporting our athletes and activity participants.
Triton Community Ed and Storybook Theatre bring you Goldilocks and the Three Bears-- but with a twist! Students from grades 1-8 are welcome to join us as we tell the hilarious tale of Goldilocks as she is on trial for misdeeds against the Three Bears Family.
