6th Grade Eagle Bluff Trip Updates
The 6th Grade Team is partnering with Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center to provide a two night / three day experience with our 6th grade class, and interested parents.

YOUR TO-DO LIST IS DUE APRIL 9th...
Turn in the permission form and payment to the TMS office.
Turn in the Code of Conduct.
Turn in the Trip Authorization and Health History Form.
Complete Eagle Bluff's online Medical and Liability Release form.
Links to all the above forms can be found in the Eagle Bluff Prep Packet (linked above). Paper copies can be provided by your child's Science Teacher. Please note Eagle Bluff's Medical & Liability Release form must be completed online.
6th Grade State Capitol & Fort Snelling Trip, April 30
On April 30th, the 6th grade class will be attending a field trip to the Minnesota State Capitol followed by a tour of Fort Snelling in St. Paul. This field trip will be at no cost to your student and will be led by Minnesota Historical Society members along with Triton Middle School teachers. Students will need to bring a home lunch for the day or else request a bag lunch through the school. Please request a school bag lunch here BEFORE WEDNESDAY APRIL 24TH
General Information
• Dress for the weather, shoes included. The field trip will happen rain or shine and is outdoors. There will be a lot of walking.
• No cell phones - parents, please make our jobs easier and encourage your child to keep their phone at home or in their locker on April 30th
• Don't forget to bring a lunch
• Students will be visiting gift shops, if they decide to purchase something, they will need to purchase with their own money
• Please contact the Middle School office if your students is absent on April 30th ASAP

Third Quarter Honor Roll Students
Thank you for supporting our TMS Fundraiser!
March was full of FUNdraising FUN at TMS! We had a Penny War taking place for the entire month. We had weekly raffle baskets for students, we had month long raffle items for all, and we had snack cart sales during homeroom. We raised a total of $1,200. Thank you to everyone that supported our fundraising efforts in March.

Driver's Education Information
8th Graders! Want to learn how to drive and get your permit soon?
Turning 15 in the next year? Take driver’s education with Mr. Johnson at Triton from 9-noon this summer.
Week one: June 4th - June 7th
Week two: June 10th -June 15th
The three Behind the Wheel lessons would be held at the Rochester location. This class is available to 14-year-old’s turning 15 in the near future.

MCA Testing Information
Triton Parents,
It is always appreciated when appointments are scheduled around MCA Testing Dates. Please see below for the various tests and dates scheduled for each grade level.
We should also note that parents have a right to additional information and to opt their children out of testing. Additional information and testing opt out form are ACCESSIBLE HERE.
Test Tips for Parent-Student Discussions

Homework Completion
Get the weekly missing work Email
Every Tuesday after school an email is automatically sent out to parents if their child has any missing assignments in a teacher's gradebook on Infinite Campus. Please know there may be times when your child has indeed completed an assignment, however it has either not been turned in or has not been graded yet, therefore it shows as missing. Please use these email messages as an opportunity to discuss assigned work. Feel free to email teachers if you'd like any clarification on information you received. If you need to update your email address so that you receive these messages, please contact our TMS office at 507-418-7510.
Your child can stay for Homework Club
TMS students are welcome to stay after school on Wednesdays to either work independently or receive help from one of our teachers. Students will work in the classroom of the Homework Club supervisor for that Wednesday. Parents will need to provide transportation home at 4:00 PM. This is a great opportunity for students to dedicate time to complete their assigned work AND have someone to help them when needed!
Homework Link
The Homework Link is designed to help you and our students have a quick look at what has been assigned for homework in all their classes during the week. This information can be accessed on our Homeroom Website (link below). All students have the Homeroom Website bookmarked on their Chromebooks. The Homework Link is updated by our teachers throughout the week and is one more resource, in addition to Infinite Campus and Google Classroom, to help students be successful at TMS.
How To Stay Engaged With Your Child's School Experience...
We have been working hard to make sure that parents and families have the information they need to help guide their child through their years at Triton Middle and High School.
We want all students to develop self-advocacy skills and learn to manage things appropriately, but parent/guardian guidance and support are crucial to the overall success of students and our school.
Please use the guide pictured to the right on ways to stay involved and engaged in your child's educational experiences.
